Captain's Log ~ Supplemental

National Sons Day & National Marching Band Day

is tomorrow--March 4th!

Celebrate your son on Saturday if you have one! Give him a call, send a text or an email...maybe FaceTime or Zoom...

Look at us there-- Look how chubby I was-- Look how young Sonshine was--

Another reason I chose that picture is because Saturday the 4th is also Marching Band Day.

And if you've been around these here parts for any length of time, you know that Sonshine was in the marching band at his high school.

Without further ado, let's celebrate two birds with one stone, er, post!

Love you, Bubba!

And you, dear reader, have a good weekend...

Happy Birthday Sailor Sonshine

So Sailor Sonshine turned 22 yesterday! I haven't seen him in just over two years and I'm looking forward to hearing his voice and seeing his face and hugging him hard relatively soon. His ship is on the last leg of its journey and then I guess there will be some end-of-cruise stuff they have to do before he can get leave and fly home.

I think the last time I saw Sonshine was August of 2015 when we flew to Seattle.

Not that he'll ever see this, but he's the best Christmas present I ever got. :0)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SONSHINE!!!

Happy Birthday Sonshine

Twenty-one years ago tomorrow in the wee small hours, the most beautiful baby boy ever was born. Tomorrow, the boy will be a complete adult, legal for military service, gambling, car rentals, and, last but not least, alcohol. Where the heck did those twenty-one years go???

One of the best things I ever did...the other two are in the next picture up...
