Ten Rigs, Texas is the home of one of the Ten Rigs Texas Tales.
Theoretically located along Highway 350 between Big Spring and Snyder in West Texas, Ten Rigs is home to approximately fifty-five hundred people, some of whom you can meet here.
In case it wasn't obvious, the town was named in recognition of the ten oil rigs that dot the landscape on the far edges of town; six to the northwest and four to the southeast. The oil industry has been a major contributor to Ten Rigs's economy since the town winked into existence in 1926.
